Can you tell us a little bit about you Charlie?

(I usually shy away from this sort of thing but here goes!😂)…

1• I’m a mummy to 3 gorgeous children who motivate me everyday to work hard.

2. I graduated from University with a BA in Business/ Media and Popular Culture.

3. Before that I was a true Art student and my fave subject at school was Art, Design and Photography which I got a A at Alevel for. I guess this is relevant because even though I didn’t know what to do at the time…I’ve ended up using all of my studies towards building my business…so in the end it paid off 😂

4. I worked for Yves Saint Laurent-I worked as a makeup artist, flagship account manager and Beauty Hall DM combined for over a decade giving me a strong background in makeup before I ventured into semipermanent makeup.

5. I left all this behind when I became a mummy as I needed flexibility and a higher income. The decision to go self employed and venturing into Semipermanent makeup was the best decision I could have ever made.

6. I qualified to teach in 2020! Imposter syndrome got me and I sat on that qualification for a good while before I started writing up my courses.

7. When I was a little girl I used to draw makeup on the women on the front of the Sunday times magazine to make her look prettier🤣 I guess we all have our calling in life!

8. I love to make people smile, or laugh. My favourite feeling is when someone leaves the studio with huge smile and new sense of self confidence- it honestly is the best feeling and I love that god gave me the ability to do that for someone.

9. Outside of work I love climbing mountains and finding new hikes - with my children or friends- the outdoors is my fave place to be!

10. I love to train! Running, weights, boxing all of it 😂 but I told myself I would slow that down this year to get a better balance…

11. …and by better balance I mean making time for all the kids activities and football matches…🤣🫶

12. The juggling act is real! But it really pays off and I absolutely love what I do.

13. I’m excited to support people to achieve their own goals in this industry whatever they might be.

It’s so easy to be hard on yourself in such a fast paced industry and i for one have always put a huge pressure on myself to achieve a lot while juggling family life.

But looking back over the last 12 months has made me a bit emotional! I’m so grateful to every single person who has ever recommended me to a friend or taken the time to mention me and my work in a room full of people. It’s because of you that I am here today doing what I love and watching my business grow year by year.

It hasn’t happened over night, it began in 2017 and anyone who is self employed knows it’s 24/7 passion that you never take a day off from. Each brick has been built by every client that has been with me through the years. So thankyou for believing in me always xx
